2023 - COVID-19 Protocols
In order to continue to reduce spread of COVID19 and keep everyone as safe- we are following all the local government and our own professional guidelines. Whilst many areas of society are easing restrictions all medical settings are still following protocols. We ask that you complete a symptom check form before attending for your visit
There are some changes when you visit us at the clinic. There is no waiting area you will be asked to wait outside the front door and be called directly into the treatment room one by one. We ask everyone to use hand the sanitizer spray provided before entering and on leaving the building.
We also ask all patients to wear a face mask and can provide one if you don’t have once yourself. The room has been altered to give maximum space when possible and I am wearing PPE. You can pay for your treatment by contact-less card facility.
Please ring 01248714001 if you need an appointment. Stay safe. Karen (Jan 2023)

August brings news from a different source- we are proud to announce that this month my husband JR Sheridan has had his debut novel published.
Congratulations and best of luck to Jamie on this wonderful achievement and lets hope everyone loves his book. It is the 1st in a series called Facts of Life and is set in North Wales. Splinter tells the story of our hero Dan Richards- a royal marine veteran and his return to civilian life. See his website for further information and how to buy a copy of Splinter.

Ms Anne Weston is now in place, her roles include- reception cover for three mornings per week along with record filing, new patient registration, administration and keeping the place running smoothly.

News June 2013
Welcome to Summer in North Wales, Croeso. We are still waiting for the summer weather to start however our skin and nails are showing signs of the usual seasonal changes. Goodbye chilblains. Hello dry, flaking skin!
Many clients are asking about FUNGAL nails preperations seen advertised on TV lately. Our best advice is to check with your GP or Podiatrist before commencing any treatments of this kind. The treatments are successful on NEW infections and you may not notice any change to longstanding nail problems. They can also be costly.
Ring to book a check up if you are concerned.
Enjoy the intermittent sunny days when they appear.
News Jan 2013
Happy New Year to all. Hope all those who suffered from the flooding late last year are recovering. The surgery luckly escaped any unwanted water. We are all bracing ourselves for the snow later this week..
Watch out for chilblains. Red, itchy and painful patches usually on tips of toes, fingers and earlobes. You won't mistake them if they appear. Keep feet warm and dry. Treat any skin breakouts quickly and do not heat up the feet on the radiator. Heat up slowly with warm socks and massage gently.
As we start the 7th year in business on Anglesey we are open 4-5 days each week. Appointments can be made on Tel: 01248 714001 every day. Please leave a message if I am busy I will call you back as soon as possible.

Annual Diabetes Foot Checks are recommended for all patients living with diabetes. This is regardless of the type of Diabetes (Type 1 or Type 2) or severity of their condition. An annual foot check will help reduce the risk of developing serious foot conditions.
The Annual diabetes foot check will include:
1. Vascular check (circulation) pulses are taken in foot and ankle.
2. The Sensitivity of the skin is tested using a 10g monofilament this looks at Neurological status
of the skin using a non-invasive technique. It is a simple and painfree test.
3. The general condition of foot feet and legs are assessed. You will then be given your "risk" level.
Information and Advice can then be tailored to each patient individually as required.
Please call today to book your assessment. Tel: 01248 714001

Dear Customer
This year I am celebrating 2 big anniversaries in my career. It is my 20th year since my graduation and entry into Podiatry. It is also the 5th Anniversary of opening my Private Practice on Anglesey.
My practice in Oxford House in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll has proved to be an ideal location, just over the Britannia Bridge and next to the A55. I started slowly and demand for my services has grown well I am now open all week. I can offer all levels of Foot Care from Nail Surgery to lower levels of Social Care Chiropody. I have been very pleased to benefit from referrals and recommendations from local colleagues and I am very pleased to have built a strong network, which is of course incredibly important in a successful private practice.
I have recently seen a number of new patients who have been discharged from the NHS service and I am of course happy to provide the treatments they need. If any healthcare colleague or patient would like to visit to see my clinic or to discuss the treatments I can provide then please feel free to give me a call.
Kind Rgds, Karen Martin
